Pelican Rescue--The Palm Beaches of Florida

Kenny Brown is a local hero in The Palm Beaches of Florida. Brown is a native of West Palm Beach and became involved over a year ago when he spotted some entangled and hurting pelicans at Boynton Beach. He went to K Mart and bought a $20 net and started rescuing pelicans in need. The task has grown into several hours of rescue after each day's work. It is a thankless task with many fishermen snearing as they consider the Pelican a "trash" buzzard. These majestic birds have a right to live in Florida too. Man's encroachment there is on the verge of wiping out the beautiful Florida Panther. You might say, "Their are plenty of Pelicans!" But remember that there once was plenty of Passenger Pigeons too.
