This beautiful classical dance number is from late Hrishi'da 's Dada Moni-Rekha-Dina Pathak starrer 1980 family-drama 'Khubsoorat'. The playback was rendered by Dada Moni (Ashok Kumar saab -- yep, he sang too) and Asha Tai with music of Pancham 'da & lyrics that of Gulzaar saab.
BTW, Dada Moni was the first singer in Indian cinema to sing a rap-song, way back in 1968 in Hrishi' da's tear-jerker 'Aashirvad' with the song 'Rail Gaadi Rail Gaadi Chuk-chuk-chuk-chuk, beech wale station bole ruk-ruk-ruk-ruk'. He was also the first actor in Indian movie industry to play the role of anti-hero (the likes of which Shahrukh Khan played early in his career in movies like Baazigar and Darr and for which he is wrongfully credited with being a pioneer of) in Bombay Talkies produced, Gyan Mukherji directed 1943 blockbuster and thriller 'Kismat'. The movie was such a roaring success that it ran continuously for 3 years in the, then, Calcutta (Kolkata)'s Roxy Theatre, its record only being broken more than three decades later by Ramesh Sippy saab's 'Sholay', that ran continously for 5 years in Bombay (Mumbai)'s Naaz Theatre (that was coincidentally owned by his father G P Sippy saab). Also, Kismet's songs esp. the patriotic one 'Aaj Himalay ki choti se phir hum ne lalkara hai door hato hai duniya walon Hindustan hamara hai' in Ameerbai Karnataki's voice and 'Dheere-dheere aa re baadar dheere aa re' in Ameerbai & Arun Kumar Mukherji's voices proved to be immnsely popular, so much so that the colonial rulers of India, at that time, considered banning the former one for its patriotic overtones.
