Thanks Reader! We like you a lot more!!!
Outside encore! Here it is, folks. The legendary outside ending to Rookie Card's 2004 record release show for our debut album, Near Mint. We took everyone outside the packed Casbah (right in the flight path near San Diego's airport) for one last song and when a plane flew over, we just HAPPENED to know "Back In The USSR". Thanks again to our friends at Air Traffic Control for the INCREDIBLE timing on the end of the song (what are the odds?!) and Angela Correa for singin' along. The album got us a San Diego Music Award for Best Pop Band in 2005.
You'd think this would've been impossible to top but for our next album release, we took everyone outside to the tune of "Why Don't We Do It In The Road" and Adam played in traffic with a megaphone (all 4 corners). Then a van pulled up midsong and a deliveryman yelled, "Hey, did you order a bellydancer, a stiltwalker, a dancing robot and a tapdancing sumo wrestler?" Duh. We do some kind of alt-country/indiepop catchy thing that you can catch out at http://www.rookiecardthemovie.com and http://www.myspace.com/rookiecard
